What is Bricksite Premium?

PREMIUM is for you who wish to display the website on your very own domain. An individual subscription is required for every website with a domain. Each upgraded website may have an unlimited number of domains attached. You may choose between our monthly and annual plans. By purchasing a subscription you enter into an agreement with Bricksite, where you allow us to withdraw payment automatically at the end of the subscription period, until you actively terminate the subscription.

Buy Bricksite Premium

Press the three dots (•••) on the appropriate website and select Upgrade to Premium.

On the next page choose the Montly or the Annual plan.
Verify the price and the contents of the card before you proceed to Checkout.
Enter your personal data and payment details, or choose from the list if you entered it before.
Complete the payment.

|| Your payment card must be 3D Secure enabled if you live in the EU/EEA. Contact your card issuer or Customer Support if you have questions.

If the payment goes through you will see a confirmation dialog, and you will receive a receipt of payment and a welcome email from Bricksite.
Remember to ** attach the domain** to the website.

Attach a Domain to Your Website

Press Manage Domains at the relevant website.

My Websites > Manage Domains

Select Attach Domain.

|| Do you need a domain? Buy a domain or transfer an existing domain to Bricksite. If your website is on Bricksite Basic (free) you will be asked to upgrade to Bricksite Premium (the purchase proces is described here).

Now attach all required domains to your website. You may attach as many domains as you wish to from all domain providers.

Local Domains. Select the domain in the overview and press Attach. Repeat as necessary.
External Domains. Select Attach external domain to connect domains from external hosting providers (external DNS setup). Repeat as necessary.

| Typically the website works within minutes, but in some cases it may take a few hours to get it up and running.

Please remember to make Google aware that your website exists by registering in Google Search Console. Otherwise your website will not be discoverable on Google Search.

Transfer Domain to Bricksite

Important

.dk domains. Make sure to have a functional MitID for Private, Associations or Employees before you begin. The domain should preferably registered to the correct identity from the onset, because any subsquent changes might incur a fee.
International domains. Make sure that your domain is unlocked and that you are not in a lock-in period (usually for 60 days after domain registration). Bricksite locks the domain for 60 days.
It is possible to prepay your domain up to 10 years into the future. Contact Customer Support if you want this. This also ensures that you will not feel any price increases in that period.

|| Specifically to customers with a Registrar Managed .dk domain: Bricksite does not currently offer Registrar Management, because DK Hostmaster unfortunately still suffers from massive technical challenges with this service, which has been the case since 2021. Therefore, make sure to switch your domain to Registrant Management before proceeding. Please contact your previous domain reseller or DK Hostmaster if you need help with this change. We are working to support Registrar Management by default. Read more about the benefits of Registrar Management here.

Click on the Domains tab.
Select Transfer Domain.

Question 4

Embedding HTML - Section / Body

First insert a blank section. You may use any section category, but you will often get the best result with a blank section background.
Insert an Elenent of the Widget <> type into the section.

Doing this will cause a menu to pop up in the right hand side of the screen. You will be presented with two options. Genereally you should select Inline (however if you wish to embed a video choose Media (in background).
Choose Custom in the widget selector.

Shift view to the Code tab.

Select all the default code in the field and Delete it.
Next up, paste your own code into the box, using the operating system shortcuts.

|| Your code must not contain unsafe links, or it will not be viewable on your website. All links must be prefixed with https://.

Remember to Save once pasted.
Publish the website.

| TIP. The HTML code occassionally display only on the published website and not inside the website editor.

Deleting Your Website

||| Deleting the website does not cancel your subscription. This must be done separately.

Press the three dots (•••) on the website you wish to delete and tap Delete Website.

Embed a PDF and Other Files

Using the integrated widget

Upload the document or file to a remote storage site of your choice, such as Google Drive, Onedrive, Dropbox, and make sure it is published so that anyone with the link can view it. For the example below we're using Google Drive as our repository.

Get Link > Anyone with the link > Viewer > Copy link

Copy the provided link, and make sure that it is correctly configured with Public viewing access; otherwise users may see an error message when viewing the file.

|| The link from Google Drive must have /view?usp=sharing replaced with /preview at the end of the link.

In the website editor, insert a Section of the PDF Widget type.
Click on the PDF-Widget and and select Edit Widget.

In the Menu that should pop up in the right hand side of the screen you should be able to find a file URL bar in which you paste in the url you got from Gdrive etc.

You are better able to control the user experience by manually embedding the file into your website.
